Positive energy

Recently, I’ve realized that one of the biggest motivators in life is the ability to remain positive and surrounding yourself with positive energy.

pos·i·tive, as defined by dictionary.com is emphasizing what is laudable, hopeful, or to the good; constructive.

One of several definitions for the word en·er·gy, is the ability to act, lead others, effect, etc.

The first thing that comes to mind when you think of energy is power. The lights in your home, the gas in your car, the ability for your body to remain in motion….all forms of energy.

Now add the word “positive” to energy and things change a little.  You now see something that commonly defines a human characteristic.  Positive energy.

When it comes to people, it’s always important to surround yourself with a person or persons that radiate positive energy.  You don’t think about it but this energy transcends them and passes to you, and you likewise to others.

Think about the last time someone gave you a compliment, you may have been modest and brushed it aside but you all know that inside you were glowing.  And for the person who gave you the compliment, they probably felt good knowing they made you smile….

Or think about your close group of friends where everyone supports each other, even through the roughest of times.  Could you have done it without them? Maybe.  But through their support and positive energy, would it be less difficult to deal with? Probably.

So in life, try to stay positive and pass on your positive energy. Give a compliment to someone. Keep upbeat through adversity; be there for someone in times of need.  You never know, they just might be passing on that positive energy or better yet, return it to you when you need it most.
